Premier Racing at The Meadows tonight is highlighted by the appearance of Dusty Bourbski in the 525-metre Free For All (Race 8 at 8:57pm).
The Victorian Sprint champion at Sandown Park on August 11 has enjoyed a terrific run of form recently with four wins and three minor placings from his last nine starts.
However, it could be argued that his best performance was in defeat to the champion Wow She’s Fast in the Group 1 Maturity Classic Final (525m) at The Meadows on July 23.
His two unplaced runs have been at Wentworth Park over 520 meters in the Group 1 National Sprint Championship (August 27) and a qualifier for the Million Dollar Chase semi-finals (September 10).
Dusty Bourbski has a great record of four wins and seven minor placings from 13 races over the 525-metre trip at The Meadows as well.
DUSTY BOURBSKI (2) SHOWED HIS CLASS AT SANDOWN PARK ON AUGUST 11:
Expert form analyst The Watchdog is tipping Dusty Bourbski to bolster his strike.
“Dusty Bourbski showed his class when earning the right to represent Victoria in the recent Group 1 National Sprint Championship and he can run elite times.”
Group 1 RSN Sandown Cup (715m) winner Untapped (in Race 6 at 8:20pm) and Group 1 Sapphire Crown (515m) runner-up Let’s Win Coin (in Race 7 at 8:40pm) headline their respective races.
Lara-based trainer Brendan Pursell and his chaser McInerney will be aiming to end Victoria’s Million Dollar Chase hoodoo in tonight’s final at Wentworth Park (Race 10 at 10:30pm) over 520 meters.
McInerney has been in fantastic form since July with six victories and two minor placings from eight starts.
He finished third in the Group 1 National Sprint Championship and second in a qualifier for the Million Dollar Chase semi-finals before winning his semi-final on September 16.
McINERNEY (2) WAS DEVASTATING AT WENTWORTH PARK ON SEPTEMBER 16:
“I think he’s got a good chance,” Pursell advised GRV’s Gerard Guthrie.
“I’m not saying he’s a moral or anything like that, but we’re not going up there to make up the numbers.”
