Pat Rae is well known in the Bay of Plenty sporting community.
He is the Community Rugby general manager for Bay of Plenty Rugby.

He discusses what it’s like to spend a career devoted to the sport “we all know and love so much”.
Pat is a highly successful NPC player, representing a number of teams. He was also part of the police force and the combined services.
“I have been part of rugby my whole life. I was dragged along to the Glenfield Rugby Club back in 1971 as a four-year-old while my parents were training.”
It has been since that day that Pat has been involved in rugby in one form or another.
