Roadmap for first phase of Paris 2024 ticket sales unveiled

With the Olympic Games less than two years away, Paris 2024 have revealed some of the most important dates for the first phase of ticket sales.

Fans around the world who are eager to attend the next Olympic Games will have the opportunity to purchase “multi-ticket” packages, consisting of three competition sessionswith each randomly-selected fan able to build their own customized pack choosing their favorite sports within the limitations of seat availability.

The ticket sales process begins on 1 December 2022

Stage 1: Registration for the draw begins 1 December 2022

It all starts with registration for a draw to obtain a 48-hour purchase spot, with registration opening on 1 December 2022 and ending on 31 January 2023. Those randomly selected from the draw will then be eligible to create their “multi-ticket” package. when the next phase of the ticketing process begins.

Stage 2: Start of “multi-ticket” sales begins 15 February 2023

Beginning 15 February 2023, those lucky enough to be selected at random will receive an email with a purchase spot that will enable them to create a “multi-ticket” package for a period of 48 hours.

Stage 3: Sale of single tickets begins May 2023

The next phase will be the sale of single tickets to the public. While the exact dates of this stage are still unknown, individual ticket sales for the Olympic Games will begin in May 2023, with sales for the Paralympics beginning in autumn of the same year.

Members of the public will have the chance to purchase single tickets for all sports starting at €24 with one million single tickets for the Olympic Games guaranteed to be available at that price.

During the single ticket sales phase, members of the public will also be able to purchase tickets for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, with seats in the lower quays that lie closer to the River Seine on sale for €90. There will be free access (space permitting) to the upper quays where the majority of the 600,000 crowd will be able to watch the ceremonies live.

Stage 4: Real-time resale takes place end of 2023

For tickets that have been acquired but not purchased by members of the public, a resale process will take place at the end of 2023, giving fans another opportunity to purchase tickets for the Games.

About the Paris 2024 Games

The Olympic Games Paris 2024 will take place between 26 July and 11 August 2024, with approximately 10,500 athletes from 206 nations taking part in 32 different sports.

Over 9.7 million spectators will gather in 40 competition sites to witness first-hand a sporting event the likes of which the world has never seen before.

The competition begins with the start of the football and rugby tournaments on 24 July, two days before the Games are officially declared open at a one-of-a-kind Opening Ceremony.

Over the following 19 days, 329 events will be contested over 726 different sessions as the greatest athletes in the world compete to make their dreams come true in the capital of France.
