Parking and Traffic Alert – Duke University

DURHAM, NC – Duke Athletics will host multiple events on West Campus this weekend:

  • Thursday, May 12 – Saturday, May 14 – 2022 ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Morris Williams Stadium
  • Friday, May 13 – NCAA Women’s Tennis Championship Super Regionals # 3 Duke vs. # 14 Georgia at 5 pm, at Ambler Tennis Stadium
  • Friday, May 13 – Sunday, May 15 – Baseball vs. NC State at Jack Coombs Field

Please review the information below for designated game day parking lots for each event. Please leave extra time in your travels to avoid delays. A parking map is located in the “Related Links” accompanying this alert. On game day, please follow the directions of parking lot attendants as they direct guests to available parking areas.

ACC OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS PARKING INFORMATION – THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY

Team Bus & Van Loading Area and Parking – A temporary unloading / loading area is available on Frank Bassett Drive (GPS Address: 147 Frank Bassett Drive) outside Morris Williams Stadium starting at 7:00 AM each day of competition. Team vehicles are NOT permitted to unload / load at University Bus Stops at any time. Team buses shuttling meet participants should use the Grounds Lot located at the end of Frank Bassett Drive to exit onto NC 751 / Cameron Blvd. Team buses remaining on-site and team vans will be park in the Grounds Lot at the end of Frank Bassett Drive . Team buses & vans will not be permitted to park in other locations.

General Public & Meet Staff / Volunteer Garage Parking – is available in Science Drive Garage (GPS Address: 3100 Cameron Blvd.) located on NC 751 / Cameron Blvd. Parking opens Thursday 7:00 AM, Friday 7:00 AM and Saturday 7:00 AM. Science Drive Garage entry is located at the permit entrance off of NC 751 / Cameron Blvd. – no meet parking available at the JB Duke Hotel. There is no charge to park. There is no tailgating permitted in the garage (including the roof) – this policy will be strictly enforced on meet days.

General Public Accessible Parking – is available in the Whitford Lot (GPS Address: 110 Whitford Drive) on Whitford Drive off of Science Drive. Parking opens Thursday 7:00 AM, Friday 7:00 AM and Saturday 7:00 AM. An accessible drop-off / pick-up point for guests with disabilities is available on Whitford Drive outside the Brandaleone Family North Gate of Morris Williams Stadium. Please speak to the lot attendant at the base of Whitford Drive for access for parking & drop-off. Overflow accessible parking to Science Drive Visitors Lot and an accessible shuttle will be available during event crossovers with Duke Baseball.

NCAA WOMEN’S TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP PARKING INFORMATION – FRIDAY

General Public Parking – is available in the Blue Zone B-3 and B-5 Lots (GPS Address: 2300 Duke University Road) located on Duke University Road between NC 751 / Cameron Blvd. and Towerview Road. Parking opens Friday 3:00 PM. There is no charge to park. Please speak to the lot attendant at the base of Wannamaker Drive for access. The B-3 and B-5 Lots are the second and third driveways on the left after entering the parking gate.

General Public Accessible Parking – is available in the Card Lot (GPS Address: 320 Towerview Road). Parking opens Friday 3:00 PM. There is no charge to park. An accessible drop-off / pick-up point is available in the Card Lot located immediately outside the general public entrance to Ambler Tennis Stadium. Please speak to the lot attendant for access for parking & drop-off.

In the event of inclement weather and match relocation to Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center, the lot attendant will redirect accessible parking to the Blue Zone B-1 Lot for accessible access to the indoor facility.

General Public Garage Parking – ALL DAYS – is available in Science Drive Garage (GPS Address: 3100 Cameron Blvd.) located on NC 751 / Cameron Blvd. Parking opens Friday 4:00 PM, Saturday 11:00 AM, and Sunday 11:00 AM. Science Drive Garage entry is located at the permit entrance off of NC 751 / Cameron Blvd. – no meet parking available at the JB Duke Hotel. There is no charge to park. There is no tailgating permitted in the garage (including the roof) – this policy will be strictly enforced on game day.

General Public Tailgate Parking – FRIDAY & SATURDAY – is available in the Chemistry Lot on Circuit Drive (click link for Google Maps Pin) and Jogging Trail Lot located on NC 751 / Cameron Blvd. between Science Drive and Duke University Road. Baseball Tailgate parking opens Friday 4:00 PM and Saturday 11:00 AM. There is no charge to park. REMINDER – For the safety of all guests, tents, tables, tarps and canopies are NOT permitted if they extend into additional parking spaces or if they impede foot or vehicular traffic.

General Public Tailgate Parking – SUNDAY – is available in the Grounds Lot and Jogging Trail Lot, both located on NC 751 / Cameron Blvd. between Science Drive and Duke University Road. Baseball Tailgate parking opens Sunday 11:00 AM. There is no charge to park. REMINDER – For the safety of all guests, tents, tables, tarps and canopies are NOT permitted if they extend into additional parking spaces or if they impede foot or vehicular traffic.
