Mohamed Salah has received a transfer snub amid rumors he could be set to leave Liverpool this summer.

The Egyptian forward’s contract expires at the end of next season and the Reds may decide to sell up at the end of the season if there’s no agreement over a new deal by then, rather than risk losing him for nothing in a years’ time.

But one former player has put the Liverpool forward rather far down on his wishlist of signings this summer.

It comes as the Reds sent scouts to Porto yet again following Luis Diaz’s January arrival at Anfield.

And Liverpool have had encouraging news about a few players currently on their injury list.

Injury round-up

Liverpool have two major injury concerns to contend with ahead of Saturday’s trip to take on Brighton in the Premier League.

But they will be hoping to bounce back from the defeat when they face Brighton – where Roberto Firmino and Ibrahima Konate could both be involved after being ruled out with injury.

Many future superstars have passed through the club’s ranks in recent years including the likes of Radamel Falcao and James Rodriguez, and Liverpool may think Diaz is not the only talented player they can poach from the Portuguese outfit.

But they may have to act fast – with Manchester United scouts also at the game.

Salah’s transfer snub

Mohamed Salah has received a transfer snub from Gary Neville after the former fullback only put him third on his Manchester United transfer wishlist ahead of the summer.

United have struggled on the pitch this season and the club’s former player Neville has been one of many pundits who have been critical of the side’s players.

A major overhaul is expected in the summer but while Neville has conceded that while Mohamed Salah is “absolutely amazing”, there are two other players he would prefer to see his former side try to sign this summer.
