Germany’s Steulpner unbeaten gong into Crosstown

On Tuesday, CM Russell’s Itailian exchange student Luca Alvisi lost his first tennis match of the season, falling in three sets to Kalispell Glacier’s Harrison Sanders by scores of 4-6, 7-5, and 7-10 in the tiebreaker.

Oddly enough, it was the only setback for the Rustler boys against the highly vaunted Glacier Wolfpack. Luca’s teammate Clay Walker remained undefeated as well and the Rustlers downed the Pack 7-1 before Alvisi, Walker and the Green and Gold blanked Flathead 8-0.

The CMR boys are riding a 15-match dual winning streak. They haven’t lost yet.

Meanwhile, Lia Steulpner, a foreign exchange student from Munich, Germany, is hoping to wrap up the regular season with an unblemished record when she steps onto the court for Thursday’s Crosstown tennis match against Great Falls High at the CMR tennis courts.
