Both FSU tennis teams fall short in ACC Championships

The ‘Noles started their ACC tournament run with a victory against Notre Dame on Thursday afternoon. This was their second meeting of the season, with the former matchup resulting in an important road win for FSU.

The key in the matchup against the Fighting Irish proved to be the singles competition, as the Garnet and Gold lost the doubles point. Maks Silagy and Dous-Karpenschif were the only duo to pick up a win for FSU in the doubles game, losing two games to one in that competition.

Junior Loris Pourroy put on a clutch singles performance with the match on the line, winning in the last set against Notre Dame’s Alex Nefve. Junior Andreja Petrovic, senior redshirt Sebastian Arcila and freshman Joshua Dous-Karpenschif secured the other three wins comfortably in just two sets each.
